My practice embraces a range of techniques and media, from lino cuts to applique, sculpture and painting in oil, egg tempera, water colour and gouache.

My inspiration frequently comes from the many aspects of the natural world - formations in the landscape, the texture and shapes of found objects, the state of flux imposed by organic decay. The starting point is often the material itself.

Most of my work, whether 2D or 3D, is abstract, but in the early spring of this year I found myself making an uncharacteristic series of flower prints, and then some 3D pieces based on animals.
